IRQ Problems in Mandrake

I recently installed 10.1 Mandrake on my computer. I am having problems with linux running properly. During Boot it keeps trying to disable IRQ #11 it says it over and over but will eventually boot into linux but runs somewhat kind of choppy for what i would think it would on my computer. I gave it almost 20gig of space so i didn't think that would be a probelm.. This is very annoying if someone could plz tell me how to fix it... it would be very appreciated...

My first suggestion would be to "Force No APIC" when you boot. This can be easily set in the Mandrake Control Center in the Boot Loader screen. Check the box by "Force No APIC"., click Next, then Finish. Then reboot and see if it helps.

Nope it still does the same thing as it did before. During boot and even shut down it says DISABLING IRQ #11 and it just keeps doing it over and over and then finally boots or it will finally shut down. Anything else you can think of... If not it looks like i have to uninstall it and go back to windows
