Question Intermittent problem with new(ish) Linux box

Hi!

On returning home yesterday evening, my console screen looked like this:

------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Core release 3 (Heidelbeg)
Kernel 2.6.12-1.1381_FC3 on an i586

login: Help - malformed sysctl tree on free

------------------------------------------------------

Obviously an error, but as a newbie, I'm not sure what the problem is. Anyone help?

Regards and TIA

As far as i can tell is just a bug in sysctl and you can safely ignore it.
There is no way to get rid of it either.
