Intel 4965AGN linux driver iwlwifi uAPSD

Hi linux-masters,

I have some problems with intel 4965AGN in linux. I must get uAPSD started in linux so I can do some test on this WMM-PS mode. The thing is that ther is no much information on iwlwifi pages.

iwpriv doesn't work
iwlist doesn't work neither

I have to find the way to configure my intel pci but I don't knwo how.

Im using ubuntu gusty-gibon in a DELL XPS 1330 with the intel iwlwifi and 80211mac driver already installed but doesn't give much configuration options.

Any idea?

I will apreciated very much. I'm coursing my final enginiering project and it's been more than 5 months and didn't find any solution.

Best Regards,

Joshua

I have that same Wireless card. After seeing inconsistent behavior in various distros, I started working directly with the wireless-tools commands in a terminal. I got things working by installing the 2.6.24.3 kernel. Somewhere in 2.6.24.X, the mac80211 and iwlwifi modules were built-in to the kernel.

Regardless of kernel version, you have to install the microcode for the card. It should be in the Ubuntu repositories.

Mmmm - I have a M1330 with the 3945. And the support in Ubuntu is abysmal.
In gutsy I use the ipw3945 because the iwlwifi is flat out broken. And the ipw isn't much better - it throws truckloads of errors, but at least connects. And all the devs seem not to give a sh1t.

Hardy is worse - there the iwl driver won't connect to a non-open router. Even with a 2.6.24 kernel. They'd better get this sorted out - it's been on bugzilla since early alphas were sent out.
