Question installing mplayer on fedora core 1


hey dudes

Another fed core newbie here to bug u all! i'm having great trouble installing mplayer. please suggest me a solution from the scratch ( From where to download the best rpm, what next, and next,..etc.)

hi,

u can download mplayer from

http://greysector.rangers.eu.org/apt/fc1/RPMS.testing/

after downloading it...
at command promet try these commands

rpm -ivh nameoftherpm

i think it is enough

that has not worked yet.
i get a few pathetic errors, listings about 20 libraries needed by mplayer.sdf.32.blah.blah.rpm

a bit detailed explanation would be helpful to get past those errors?

btw, install mplayer from source, it's sooooooooooooooo much easier.
