installing linux on a dell latitude c510

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to install Debian 6 on a dell c510, but it won't install Grub for some reason. Since that is necessary to boot Linux, what do you suggest as an alternative?

Install lilo, if grub won't install it shoud give you the option to install lilo boot loader. should be a button for advance mode somehere during the installation unless they changed it since the last upgrade. What kind of errors are you getting when grub is being installed.
