Hi,

Welcome to LQ!

Slackware 13.0 or 13.1?

What do you see for 'ifconfig -a' & 'lsusb' from the cli?

It is Slackware 13

ifconfig identifies only the ethernet card.

lsusb picks up the Dlink, "BUS 001 Device 002: ID 07d1:3c0d D-Link System"
Also get the line "BUS 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Fopundation 1.1 Roothub"

You might also want to post the output of lsub -vvv, but only for your wireless device and nothing else. That may help to identify the chipset in it.
