Question input japanese character


I cannot find what I need for writing japanese on my mandriva10.2
Pleeeeeees don't make me go back to windows. I tried with ctrl+space alt+space and any other combination possible. Help me even if I'ma a complete newbie!!!!! C'mon be nice!

Hi! I'm not really an expert, but I used to need Japanese input too and I found that to write Japanese you need to install the Scim package and some packages like Anthy or Uim. They should all be Mandriva CDs, so you should be able to install them easily... I'm sorry I can't be more precise, I installed those quite a long time ago... Hope I helped. ^_^
