Well I finally got my Yellow Dog Linux installed on my PS3 (PlayStation 3), and I was looking all around it (with my eyes amazed) and seeing what its features are. The first thing that came to my mind was Firefox.
I double click Firefox, and BOOM, it closes it self down saying there was some unexpected error. So I look around the Internet for some help, nothing, but some stuff similar.
So I used "yum" to remove Firefox (took me ages to find out how).
And I downloaded the new Firefox - the package was called firefox-2.0.0.7.tar.gz.
So I double click on the file, nothing. Just some extracting window, and what from I have read. .tar means it's compressed and .gz means it's a kind of installer. But nothing installed, so I tried "yum install firefox" and I tried "yum install firefox-2.0.0.7.tar.gz" and both got this:
Code:
[root@localhost -]# yum install firefox
Loading "installonlyn" plugin
Setting up Install process
Setting up repositories
base
Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: base
Error: Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: base
And another problem is, how do I drag files to the desktop?, and how do I get the Internet working?
(NOTE: The Firefox sudden error close error also comes for OpenOffice)
