YDL for PS3 Help

I have it installed just fine but now i am trying to install an avi movie player and dont know how. i downloaded the file and now have no clue what to do next. any help?

Any information would be great.. What kind of package are we talkin about ? Did u get a binary package? .rpm .deb?
Source perhaps ? .tar.gz .tar.bz2 ?

With the current information nobody will be able to help!

the file is a tar.gz

Ok follow these steps:

tar -zxvf `filename.tar.gz`
(without the quotes)

then

cd `directory name`
(without the quotes)

then

su
(enter your root password)

then just type:

./install.sh

This will start the installation!
