i'm new to Linux and i want to download &install Kdenlive video editor
i'm new to Linux and i want to download &install Kdenlive video editor but i don't know how to do these 2 actions.please help

I think you are using Mandriva. So download mandriva version here. Kdenlive video editor for mandriva.
select the type of your bit version and download it.

After downloading you can now install.
* go to the downloaded location
* type the installation command as below.
Code:
$ su
password:
# rpm -ivh kdenlive*.rpm

It's Mandriva. i do not know where to look for the date, i think 2009.1
i need a basic explanation concerning which kdenlive video editor to choosefrom on the download page, it's reference,how to download and also how to install as i am totally new to linux.

You may also check in the package manager for it. I know several distros over kdenlive there.

ok then, if you don't about your system information. It doen't matter. Start with first src package. Download kdenlive source package here
*Now go to the downloaded location.
* open the terminal
Code:
$su
password:
#rpm -ivh kdenlive*.rpm
installation will be proceded. If any error occurs post it!

i have not been able to do it ,not knowing where to go ,not finding any icon looking like "download" or "install" too many references, maybe some time in the future. This is just to say thank you for your help.
