Howto verify crc32 sum for a file

I have downloaded a few files and the download site has provided a CRC32 value to verify the integrity of the file. For one particular file the CRC32 is: 9D34EF2F

I am running fedora core 7, 2.6.22.4-65.fc7.

I have tried cksum but it must not be the 32bit algorithm version.
Is there a built in utility that will calculate the CRC32 of this file?

Sorry, i am afraid i can give you no standard tool. However, on windows you would use something like WinSFV. There may be something similiar for linux. I already compiled a file checker myself, which used crc32 or adler 32 checksum. (adler32 and crc32 checking is actually in the gzip utility.) This may be a help.

Take a look at
Code:
man -k crc32
and look at the pages you get as a result, with a command similar to this:
Code:
man crc32
Of course you change 'crc32' in the above command to whatever you got as a result from the first command. The man pages contain information about the topic, and files associated with the page; possibly an executable you can run.
