how to upgrade Gtk and glib


Hello Everybody,

I m using Redhat 5 server edition,

I want to install EVolution, i downloaded the stable version of Evolution from gnome.org site, i got a bz2 file i extracted it and while running ./configure command i got error message that gtk glib pango and other many lib files are not found, one by one i downloaded all the libs and configured but while installing now the same error that you that older version of gtk and glib, please help. I already downloaded and installed all the programs as specified in the configure file.

But still the same error.

Please help me.

You're better off using yum install gtk; yum install glib; yum install pango

i have already installed the gtk and glib but the versions are older, i tried installing the newer version and successfully installed also but i cannot use those newer version.
