First, I agree with your remark and apologize.
Second, just as you suppose - I am trying to remove the launcher from my taskbar - the one that when i click on it, it opens my browser.
I wanted to attach some screenshots, but there is a problem with uploading and i fail to do it ...

I created a new panel added various launchers and applets ... why OP is not seeing a "remove from panel" on then icons I do not know.

Agreed; "rm from panel" should be present if not something could be broken in the DE interface and or somehow became misconfigured.
