How to make virtual wlan interface permanent?

Hi,

I can successfully create a new virtual wireless interface on Raspian 12 with the following command...

iw dev wlan0 interface add vwlan0 type __ap

But sadly it's gone after a reboot and `i'm not sure in which file I need to put it so it runs on startup but before the interfaces are configured with ip addresses.

Any help or pointers in the the right direction would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Look at the file /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules.
If you add an entry for your vwlan0 it should be persist across reboots.
