How to create virtual and permanent listen address ?
Hi,
I use several programs who listen on some interfaces including virtualbox IP address( through interface vboxnet0 ). Unfortunately when virtualbox is off all programs failed to start because the interface does not exist.
Is there any solutions to create a virtual IP/interface where programs can listen on permanently then paquet are trasfert to when vboxnet0 is on ?

Thanks
A service needs to be running for port to be open (and listening to).
Perhaps, you should come up with a script that runs and checks if VM is running, and if its not start it?
Or perhaps, I am completely misunderstanding what you are asking?

yes, I did something like this. I have to study and customize how work config file for each program. When interface is on I have to insert and modify somewhere and when it is off I have to remove and delete some lines in some files. The task will be simple if there is one virtual IP or one virtual interface which is a permanent frontend for vboxnet0
