I've seen several tutorials that mention remastersys, but the software seems to have gone missing. Cannot add it to synaptic respository, it comes back with an error that the download is incomplete, the software is missing from the source.
So, OK, is there a way to make my own live cd? I would like to make one of my current setup. Mint Linux 13 Maya
You should be able to get some useful information at the remastersys site, linked below. You need to add an entry to your sources.lst and as far as I can tell, it is still being developed:

I followed the instructions and apparently some files are missing, the error is:
Code:
Failed to fetch http://www.remastersys.com/ubuntu/dists/oneiric/InRelease
Unable to find expected entry 'main/source/Sources' in Release file
(Wrong sources.list entry or malformed file)
Failed to fetch http://www.linuxmint.com/repository/romeo/Sources 404 Not Found
Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
And of course all further steps fail...
So since this seems to be a dead end, I was wondering what other options exist. Must be something, as livecds are being released eveyday...
Thanks for this new info, will check this out.
I don't care how i get there, as long as I get there. I would like to make a livecd of my existing setup...
