Why would you install yum on Ubuntu, taking into account that it's a Debian based distro? Yum is an advanced front end for RPM, primarily used on RPM based distros like Red Hat, Fedora, CentOS, ... Debian based systems have their own front ends like aptitude, synaptics, ...
