How to install RHEL 6.10 currently asking for second disc
Good afternoon everyone. I am a LINUX newbie. Currently I am trying to install the RHEL 6.10 version on our virtual machine. For background we are running Vsphere 7.0 as the environment. The install was running I chose "DESKTOP" as the instance the system then ejected the DVD and asked for DISK 2 to complete the install. Our configuration manager had stated that he downloaded the "binary" version of the ISO to DVD (not sure what that means). Is this a issue of formatting prior to downloading and burning to the DVD or is this something that needs to be fixed and pointed to within the DVD prior to attempting the install not sure where the issue lies to complete the install. Also can someone explain what/how to properly split the install into 2 parts if that is the fix- Thanks in advance

Had to check the date on this before replying, since RHEL 6.10 (EXTENDED support), ended more than three years ago. It's very, VERY old...the best advice I can give would be to NOT use it, at all, for anything.
Not sure who the "configuration manager" is, but RHEL 6 came on one DVD which is burned from one ISO image...if you're choosing to install other things afterwards, that MAY require a second DVD, but without knowing what you're doing/installing, it's hard to say. If you have a "configuration manager" and they are recommending/giving you RHEL 6 in 2024, I'd doubt everything they say. If you're not going to pay for RHEL support, then don't use it....Rocky Linux or CentOS stream would be far better choices, and they have complete installation/download guides on their websites.
::EDIT::
Also, if you got the install media from your 'configuration manager', why can't you go to them for the other media??
A second vote for not using RH 6 because it is so old!. But if you have to, each DVD is equal to a ISO file. If you are installing in vsphere, from vsphere console you mount a virtual device, either a DVD from the host physical drive or an ISO file. So you have to get the second iso file for the second DVD, and I seem to remember there were several
From (distant) memory, I seem to remember the REL6 install media did ask for disk 2 but if it was from a DVD ISO then just hitting enter was enough for it to look for the file(s) it wanted and for it to continue.
