how to disable/uninstall/stop using fvwm2

Hi i am having some trouble with suse 10.2

I was installing atk 1.12.3-1.2.i586.rpm and my screen went black after the installation.
After rebooting a strange windows manager called fvwm2 started up. I don't know how to go back to the original gnome interface i was using.

If anyone knows how to disable/uninstall/stop using this fvwm2 manager please tell me how.

Thanks

Did you have the login prompt? If so, there should be a menu somewhere called "session type" or something to that effect, click that and a list of available ones will appear, eg. KDE, Gnome, IceWM etc. Just click the one you want and that should be it.

There is a login prompt but there is no session option, all I have on the screen is login box and on the lower left a "console log" those are the only two objects on the screen.

Thanks for the reply though.

Is there any way to change it through a command?

That's weird, I just checked my brother's laptop with 10.2 and session type is at the bottom left. Oh well. Sorry, I couldn't help you.
