how to create driver disk for NIC card from source files

while trying load rhel 5 on a gigabyte motherboard, onboard NIC
does not support for nfs, http or ftp installation.

1. For nfs, http or ftp installation, one needs to make driver disk such that, at boot option one can provide an option as linux dd,while doing so, the installer will prompt for incerting either floppy or cdrom, which will have drivers of NIC in *.img form.

NOTE: One can over come by installing through cdrom and then compiling the given source files, but this act of compiling i have to do everytime i reinstall the os.

so,please let me know how to create a driver disk for given hardware

thanks

Googleing found a few good post here is one. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...vmxnet-508881/
The module for the nic must be built using the kernel the installer is using if you need to build the module. Once the module is built then add as described and see if that works.
