First, RedHat 7.2 is very, VERY old. The best thing I would suggest, is to upgrade. Either load CentOS or Fedora Core (get the latest versions), as Sendmail and other associated packages have been upgraded MANY times, and will probably be a LOT of work to shoehorn into that ancient verison of Linux.
Second, there are MANY how-to and configuration guides avaiable through Google, so rewriting one here is pointless. If you have specific problems/questions, please post them.
