how install wine ?


hi everybody

i download wineX_cedega 4.0
i download him in ends .tar
i do in shell tar xfv [the name of the file]
now its unpack the wine
and its come with one directory that called "usr"
whan i open "usr" directory i can see thair 3 directories
"bin" "lib" "share"
and i reallyyy dont know how to install it
i use slackware 10 with kde

can you please help me with that?

For systems that user tarball packages such as Slackware, download the .tgz format package.

if that is the case you could most likely use pkgtool to install the slackpack. hope that helps.

after all

i think that i install but how can i sure about that
because i install him by writing "insallpkg [name of the file]" and it just down few row writhe something i cant remember what and its don't look like
and when i run this commend "cedecga [name of software.exe]"
its run the software but its not be in menu after i did menu updating
so how i make sure that i install wine in sucsseful ? and if its yes how i run aplication that i install with wine ?
and if i can to load wine from menu or something i do it ?

i hope that you can help me ...

if the command runs the software then mostlikely it's installed correctly. when you run the menu update it doesn't show up?
