fedora defaults to using the OPENSOURCE "OpenJDK 1.8"

and NOT the CLOSED SOURCE Oracle java 1.8

now the two can live side by side as explained in the Fedora documentation

so please READ the fedora documentation

if yo MUST replace OpenJDK with Oracles java then set Oracles java in "alternatives" as per the instructions in the documentation
