Unhappy How do I uninstall Frostwire5 on Ubuntu12.04.

After having mistakingly installed Frostwire5 on my PC running Ubuntu 12.04 I can't seem to uninstall or delete it.Every time I try to download a torrent it loads Frostwire5 even after I sent the frostwire5 folder to the trash bin.

If you installed it using the Ubuntu Software Center (or equivalent, such as Ubuntu One), you should uninstall it from there. If you did not, let us know how you installed it and we will better able to help you.

I went to frostwre.com and clicked the "Download Now" icon. I didn't check to see if it was compatible with Linux versions.

then you only downloaded it
you did not install it

unless you told firefox to "install" the .deb file instead of downloading it
-- from the "pop up" save/ install dialog box --

try
Quote:
sudo apt-get purge frostwire
or
Quote:
sudo dpkg --purge frostwire
Now this is assuming your downloaded the .deb package and installed it blick clicking on it and loading the default gui for the packagemanager.

you can replace pure with "remove" if you want to keep your config files
