How do I transfer info from memeory stick?


I have downloaded tar.z and tar.gz files onto my memory stick which has a FAT file system. How do I trasfer these files to my linux machine. I cannot seem to find the flush drive. For example /dev/fd0 is for first floppy drive how do I find the flush drive so that I can copy the files.

When you plug in the flash drive, you should see a new folder appear, either in /mnt or /media in your file manager. Then copy or move then by drag and drop or command-line cp or mv command, to your Linux installation.
