How do I srart x in debian for the first time?


What is the command. I am sitting there just trying to start it and I dont remember the command. HELP!!!!

If you are at a command line prompt, why not startx?

startx is the normal command.. try

didnt work. already tried it. I dont get it. I did a minimal install from the first iso image. im getting disappointed. I have used mandrake... and red hat. No problems. Now this.... ????

Not used debain myself, are you sure you installed the Xwindows enviroment ?

yep. it doesnt matter. im gonna try suse live eval.
