How do I resume interrupted download ?

Apparently, there was no space left on the device.

I was downloading from distrowatch. com

If I use ftp or something like that, rather than clicking on the download link, is it possible to resume the download ?

Thanks.

I ues d4x to manage my downloads - it supports HTTP and FTP protocols and can pause and resume downloads.

You'd need a download manager if you wanted to resume an interrupted download. If you weren't using one of those, you'll have to start over I'm afraid.

from the command line you could use wget -c URL
see man page for wget for more info.

Yes, " wget -c " is probably a good option, as long as you can be sure the file hasn't changed (it just counts how many bytes are already written to your disk, and picks up where the original download left off.

Try installing the program 'kget'. It resumes downloads and it has a nice interface.
