How can run Cinnamon Mint on a Mac Book Pro?


I'm about to acquire a Mac Book Pro or Air?: One for University, and wanted to know if I can run Cinnamon mint parallel with Apple? Mostly for writting endless essays etc...!
I have Cinnamon Mint on disc.
