I am a newbie and I was hopig somebody could help me with setting up and IMAP email account. I don't think that evolutoion , only pop, but i could be wrong. So can someone reccoment a good IMAP email program that I can use could I liek to leave stuff on the server just in case I go to another computer. Instructions on downloading and would be great to if its advanced or need other packages cause I'm pretty new with linux. thanks.
over at howtoforge there are walkthrus on setting up imap, pop, etc for various distros(since you didn't list you distro!!!). It is a little to complicated for someone to write the how to here in a response to you, but if you follow the instructions you should be fine.
I'm using Fedora as a distro, I acutally just figured out you can use IMAP with evolution so thats what I configured for. Thanks for the quick reply. I really appreciate it. I have one more question. I have a network drive attached to my router. Do you know how to map that drive under linux so I access it.
