you need to select /opt/kde/bin/kpdf or /opt/kde/bin/kghostview as the application to open pdf's when running firefox.

Cannot open PDFs with Firefox
Hello,
When I try to open pdf files from the net using Firefox 1.0, the "OK" button is greyed out no matter what I do: it will not allow me to save to file or open the pdf with any application. But it will let me open docs, powerpoint, etc. files. I can however open the pdf files with Konqueror. I tried removing Firefox with Fedora's Add/Remove Applications GUI as well as "rpm -e firefox" and then reinstalling the program. No luck. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Ian

Solved
Ok, looks like I solved my own problem. I uninstalled firefox with "rpm -e firefox", erased the folder ~/.mozilla/firefox and then installed firefox with "yum install firefox". Now, for some reason, I can open and save PDF files with firefox.
