I don't know what happened, everything was ok last night but when I boot now the log-in screen doesn't appear, just a black screen and the busy watch... So I press ctrl alt f7 to exit x windows then as root I entered startx.... Now I'm using IceWm.... but I want to go back to my normal WM(KDE) and I want to see the X log in screen again... I don't really know how this happened... Last night I was just playing around with cron, just added my script that makes backups and I don't think it could have affected my X-windows... Please help me...
HI just noticed that I can do startx with root but not with my user....
Here is what happens when I enter startx with my normal user.
