Actually, I think the problem is that I disconnected the extra CD-Rom I had in there. I was having hardware issues at the time of installation, and I was afraid that I was milking my PSU too much. I unplugged all necessary items, and decided to never really change it since it starting purring like a kitten ever since. Man, I love linux.

Okay, here is my modules.conf

user@localhost:user$ cat /etc/modules.conf
alias eth0 tulip
alias usb-controller usb-uhci
alias sound-slot-0 es1371
post-install sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -L >/dev/null 2>&1 || :

alias char-major-13 analog
