Did this announcement contain more details besides just the fact about additional files? Did it say what files were needed? Can you duplicate this complaint and get more info, or is it that once you've seen the complaint, you now no longer see it? Unfortunately, unless you can reproduce it and get more information about the specifics, then there may not be much we can advise.

I'm getting the impression that flatpack is able to be run, but you can't do desired operations with it, because they are grayed out. An option also is to un-install and re-install and for when you reach the point where it tells you, you need more files, see if you can capture any details.

Another option is to read their documentation, for flatpack, and find out if they make any statements about required files, or pre-requisites, or pre-requisites for certain hardware. Because it seems as if hardware driver interface is the problem why it will not let you do certain things. There also is a possibility that the hardware you have, and all available drivers for it, do not support all the features which flatpack advertises.

As part of this, the specifications of your system would be helpful to know.

How did you install github on Linux Mint (and what does the "4" stand for)?

I did a search for github 4, located a site. It had a few more github options to choose from and info on the different ones. I don't recall the site address but i found it quite easily. I selected github 4 because my nvidia console front end stated github 4 needed to run fans. downloaded it to HD, right clicked, selected install and it happened....Every day i start my computer I do have to open the nvidia front end console and under server display options I do have to select the resolution manually I can't figure out how to save it. My 950GT resolution settings are 1360x780. My 60inch TV/monitor needs this resolution so that I can read what I see on it. Also I have to go to thermal settings , check the fan box and use the slider to set my fan RPM.....I'm very much a newbie myself and got lucky on the github install, otherwise I wouldn't know how to install it either....my computer expertise is/was DOS/win 3.11 up to win10 Hope this works for you

Very little of this makes sense, and the highlighted bit makes no sense at all.
"github" refers to a website full of code repositories, not any software required by your Nvidia GPU.
