Question Gnome 2.6 Help

Hi,
I have been using Linux for a little while, but I still consider myself a newbie. I've been using KDE as my primary desktop, but I interesting in learning more about Gnome. I've tried to get Gnome 2.6, but there are so many dependencies which require even more dependencies. I just want a place I can go to download rpms for gnome and all the files I need to go with it. I really want to try Gnome 2.6, but Suse doesn't currently offer it and it has been a headache to try to compile it myself. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.
