Glibc problem while configure pango


checking for FREETYPE... yes
checking for XFT... yes
checking Carbon/Carbon.h usability... no
checking Carbon/Carbon.h presence... no
checking for Carbon/Carbon.h... no
checking for CAIRO... yes
checking which cairo font backends could be used... freetype
checking for GLIB... no
configure: error:
*** Glib 2.17.3 or better is required. The latest version of
*** Glib is always available from ftp://ftp.gtk.org/.

Easy. Install glib with a version >= 2.17.3. The latest version of Glib is always available from ftp://ftp.gtk.org/ or your package manager.

First check if your package manager shows version equal to or above the one required by the program. If you don't have it, install. If you seem to have it, however, make sure you have glib-dev or glib-devel package (name varies between distributions). "dev" or "devel" comes from "development", that may make the search easier.
