Exclamation Getting Browser to load a search item

I have just installed Slackware and using a wireless connection. The network manager works perfectly.I can bring up Konqueror, Firefox, SeaMonkey. The browser have no difficulty connecting. When I type Google into the search bar I get messages saying that
site, can not connect. Unable to connect happens on all three browsers.

This is going to need some clarification.

Exclamation Getting Browser to load item in search box

If I bring up Sea Monkey and click on any of the links on the page the browser takes me to that link.

If I open Firefox it will load.Should I put Google into the search box, I get a return of unable to connect, even though the browser is connected.

These are two examples it happens with all browsers.
