Gaim would not retrieve yahoo chat room list

Hi,

I am currently working on Slackware 10.0
I have Gaim - 1.4.0 installed.

I connect to the internet via a proxy server, and apart from this problem Gaim works fine for both Yahoo as well as for MSN

Now whenever I press the "get list" button to retrieve the list of all the chat rooms --It looks as if it's trying to retrieve the list but would never give me anything.

This may be due to wrong (or no) chat room url entered in the preferences. I tried searching for this but could not find anything useful.

Here's what my Gaim settings look like :

Code:
Yahoo Options

Pager host : scs.msg.yahoo.com

Japan Pager host : cs.yahoo.co.jp

Pager port : 5050

File transfer host : filetransfer.msg.yahoo.com

Japan File transfer host : filetransfer.msg.yahoo.co.jp

File transfer port : 80

Chat Room Locale : <nothing is here>
In the previous versions of Gaim that I have used there was some Chat Room Url mentioned in the last section, but that also behaved in an identical manner.

Could anyone tell me the correct url entry to put there so as to access the list of chat rooms, or any other tweaking that need to be done to get this working.

Thanks in anticipation.

I think there is something going on with yahoo chat rooms right now. It seems to be a prob a lot of people are coming across. MS people as well.
There are a couple of articles out there about yahoo shutting down the chat rooms due to a news report on tv

Yes, there's some problem going on lately. When using the MS version of Yahoo Messenger, it gets the chat room list, but when you press the "Enter Chat " button it gives a "Chat Error".

But my problem is even older. Earlier when Yahoo Chat Rooms were working just fine, then also my Gaim would behave in a similar fashion. So maybe apart from the problem being with the yahoo chat rooms it seems that there might be some fault with my Gaim itself.

Also, when I press the chat button and then manually specify the name of the chat room, I can enter the the chat rooms.

Could someone who's earlier been able to access the chat rooms using gaim provide me with the chat room url he/she's been using (or rather the entire gaim configurations).

Thanks in anticipation.
