Question Yahoo chat using Gaim?

Hi,

I have installed the latest version of Gaim in my RedHat-8.0. I just want to whether I can go to different yahoo chat rooms that is possible in yahoo messenger in windows. Basically I want to joing in a chat room and want to chat with many peeple.

When I tried chatting using gaim I got a message saying that 'chat protocol is not supported' or something similar to that.

Nowadays I boot my windows only to get into my yahoo chat room!.

Any help is appreciated..

Thnaks.

Could you send me the name of the software that supports this?

Just now I have searched freshmeat.net and what I can find is a text based yahoo messenger (Ari's yahoo client) . Looks like this doesn't support yahoo room chat. Let me know if I am wrong here. I have downloaded the ymessenger from yahoo website also. That also doesn't support group chat. Actually I was not able to see the fonts with the ymessenegr that I downloaded from yahoo web site!.

Sorry, so far I couldn't find anything by which I can replace yahoo messenger on windows. Yesterday I downloaded kyim, it works but I doesn't support different yahoo chat rooms.

I presume Gaim also doesn't support this.

Looking forward for some answer.
