ftp user problem


hi,
i have one server having Red Hat Linux release 7.1 (Seawolf), and one central server through which i want to ftp on Red Hat Linux release 7.1 server. i am doing as follows:-

[oracle@clidb oracle]$ ftp <server ip>
Connected to <server ip>
220 agadb FTP server (Version 5.60) ready.
334 Using authentication type GSSAPI; ADAT must follow
GSSAPI accepted as authentication type
GSSAPI error major: Miscellaneous failure
GSSAPI error minor: No credentials cache file found
GSSAPI error: initializing context
GSSAPI authentication failed

334 Using authentication type KERBEROS_V4; ADAT must follow
KERBEROS_V4 accepted as authentication type
Kerberos V4 krb_mk_req failed: You have no tickets cached
Name (61.0.32.1racle): oracle
530 Must perform authentication before identifying USER.
Login failed.

i have bold the new lines i have seen. i have checked /etc/passwd, oracle user is there.then also it is not accepting..

Please help me...

sounds like your system is behind in updates. did you try running up2date to see if everything is current? if your subscription expired you can try downloading the latest openssh rpm and installing that to see if that fixes the problem. I know I have seen this error before but it was years...ago.

Why dont you upgrade your OS. RedHat already ended their support to older versions. You may want to try the free enterprise edition of Redhat which is CentOS.
