Question frequent password prompting

Hi
When playing with my linuxbox today, my frustration was heightened by the frequent appearance of a dialog box asking for my password, appearing over the screensaver. This appeared in both root and user kde.
Bwhuh?

Do you have password protect avtivated on your screensaver? I have to enable mine to use. Maybe it is set up that way by default for your distro.

I've spent very little time with this distro, so that's possible.
Where do I find the function that gets this out of my face?

Are you sure, you want to disable the function completely? I helps for security, but if it is anoying to you, you can shot it of, by right clicking on any empty part of your desktop, and select the entry named "Desktop" somthing. it should popup with a window, where you can open "screen saver". After you do this, locate the checkbox saying something about a password. Make sure it is not checked. Press ok and you shoud not see the password box again. Thou the screen saver should still be on.
