firefox crash report says requires glx version older than 1.3

I recently installed debian squeeze & firefox 13 along with Java 7
When I went to test Java. Version it crashed. After looking at crash details & I googled & found a thread here at LQ marked solved that suggested deleting ff profile which I did with no result. Ialso used the glx grep command the OP used & my output was exactly the same as theirs.
Are there any other suggestions on how to get the right glx version or atleast make ff think it is?

I have been fighting with this problem for a few days now & still haven't figured it out.

server glx version string: 1.2
client glx version string: 1.4
GLX version: 1.2

How do I update the Glx version is there a package that I can pull from testing without breaking the system?
BTW it only crashes when checking my java version.
