Wink Finding and installingg Mint application for watermarking art?

Hi, real newbie here... !
I have looked at what I have on my system so far... but---
I have no idea how to find any new applications ie: what site to find them on, or... how to install them when I find them? I have Cinnamon MINT version. I am an ex-macbook user, so was using alot of ART editing programs. I would like to find what is available for me as an artist... I heard there are thousands of amazing programs available to Linus users!!
Anyone?
Thanks so much for any help anyone can provide - I know NOTHING LOL!!
Sam

Yes, there are a lot of programs available to Linux users. Putting something like "linux graphics programs" into a search engine will give you a LOT of them...first two hits in Google:

https://itsfoss.com/best-linux-graphic-design-software/
https://www.linuxlinks.com/graphics-2/

Chances are very good that most of those are available through the Mint software manager, or can be downloaded/installed from their various websites by following the instructions on those websites. Read the "Question Guidelines" link in my posting signature.

Imagemagick!

edit:
assuming batch operation.
For one or two images only, I agree that GIMP is probably the readiest, newbie-friendliest solution.

I heavily use Gimp and usually don't even close it from one day to the next, just minimize it.
