Finally getting the hang of it...BUT

Ok, I just made the shift over to linux (full fledged, not dual boot) and thanks to your guys' help I have just figured out the basics of comiling programs for it.

Here's the thing. I know now how to get the programs working, but now that I look back i would like to change a few options, namely for setting up a LAMP server. I have apache 1.3 and php5 up, but would like to add MySQL and upgrade to apache2.

So, should I uninstall apache and php and start from scratch (this would be my preference)? The thing is, I don't know how to "uninstall"

I'm still burdened from being conditioned by Redmond for all of these years.

Thanks in advance.

You can either use pkgtool or just use removepkg command to uninstall packages. Apache2 package is not available for Slackware hence you may have to compile (and select options) yourself. For PHP and MySQL you can look at the slackbuild scripts from slackware site.
