Fedora 1 printing blank pages

Have Fedora One installed on an IBM 300PL, using an Epson LQ 1050 printer.
The test page prints OK and I can print E-mails from Mozilla.
Trying to print from the text editor, Kjots or Open Office causes the printer to eject the page with nothing printed on it.

I can't speak for the other programs you mentioned, but have you through the OpenOffice setup utility to set up and test your printer?

The utility is called spadmin and is located in the "program" directory wherever OpenOffice was installed (on mine it happens to be /opt/openoffice.org-1.9.104, but yours may be in a different location. Using the spadmin utility, you should be able to add and test the printer.

Apparently there is a bug in the Epson LQ 1050 driver. Telling Fedora that the printer is an LQ 850 causes the printer to work fine. (The 1050 is a wide carriage version of the 850).
