EXT3 fs and LVM question

I am trying to Mount a Volume but when I do I get this error

EXT3-fs error (Device dm-1) ext 3_check descriptors: block bitmap for group 1536 not in group (block 11136543)

any ideas on how to repair this or if you can even repair it

On boot hit 'e' for edit. Drop down to the kernel line with the down arrow. Hit 'e' again, and add this to the end of the line:

init 1

This will boot into run level 1 where you can run:

e2fsck

and act accordingly.

Would the best way to do that be, set the -y flag and let it run its course ?
