Error while booting from QEMU

Error occurred while booting from QEMU. I am building a minimalistic linux kernel using virtual hard disk. GRUB was loaded successfully. But while booting kernel, I got the following errors :

"can't open /dev/tty2 : No such device or address "

"can't open /dev/tty3 : No such device or address "

"can't open /dev/tty4 : No such device or address "

I, then created these files using mknod. Still the same errors occur. Please help.

Try this:

It seems like your kernel is "too" minimalistic, should add some drivers for these or redirect them to /dev/null if they are of no use for you.

Just for grins try any iso or standard kernel to see if qemu does work. Just to be sure it is your build.
