Environment variables in linux redhat 9


hello everyone,

i am a newbie, the problems that i am facinf is as follows:
i need to set the environment variables namely JAVA_HOME and JBOSS_HOME to start my jboss application server, how shall i set the environment variables in linux.

Awaiting anxiously for reply

hi and welcome,
not sure where it was in RH9, but look for something like:

#for user specific
/home/user/.bash_profile

#for global
/etc/profile
