Applications that run in Windows don't run on Linux. The preferable solution would be to run a native Linux application but if it is not available you could try running your application in WINE as a workaround. To run e-Sword in WINE see for instance instructions
here and the WINE
documentation. If you get it to run and it works for you, fine, else check out
Xiphos (formerly know as GnomeSword, requires GNOME) or Bibletime (requires QT).
