Unhappy download JDK 1.6 for linux


hii..

I want to download JDK 1.6 for linux without any update.
But not getting it.
can someone help me this issue??

I don't understand why you don't want to install jdk with the latest updates,it will only be good for you since you will have the latest software.Will you post here why you can't get it.Here are the instructions if you didn't read them http://java.sun.com/javase/6/webnote...all-linux.html for the installation.This installation can be done from distributions repos too.

due to the fact that the game called Towns requires only that version of java

After some fast testing with the demo, I can tell you that Towns runs with the latest version of Java.

Let me explain I am using linux 64bit on a macbook and towns on that system needs only takes java 1.6 saids so on the site itself

I also want to download jdk 1.7 or the new version!But I could not find them.

you are aware that this is a VERY old thread from February of 2008
it is almost 6 years OLD

and almost all current Operating systems WILL have OpenJDK 1.7 or 1.6 already installed

please read the documentation for what ever operating system you are using
