Does KDM Automatically Restart X-Server?
I am running Debian Stable (Jessie).
I use KDE4, XFCE, and Fluxbox. I use KDM as my display manager.
I am wondering if, when I log out of one desktop, does KDM automatically do a "restart x-server".
Yes, it is a simple question, but I cannot find an answer on duckduckgo.com, nor on linuxquestions.
No need to do a long explanation, a simple yes/no is sufficient.
Thank you for your time and wisdom, and have a good day!

It does depend on the distro and release. Some configure it to restart, others don't. Find kdmrc on your system and see what it says. On this installation it contains on lines 493 & 494:
Code:
# Default is false
TerminateServer=true

Thank you for you very good advice.
It had defaulted to false, so I did a quick change and it will now reset/restart the X-server automagically.
